Strong resolution to overcome the export crisis- KITA holds 2023 general meeting
On February 22, at COEX, Samsung-dong, Seoul, the Korea International Trade Association (KITA, Chairman Christopher Koo) held the 2023 general meeting and agreed on a strong resolve to overcome this year’s export crisis. On this day, KITA adopted five business strategies to overcome weak exports ? identify difficulties in trading sites and provide customized support to SMEs and middle-market enterprises; respond to new order of commerce and strengthen the global network; strengthen digital-based services and expand trade infrastructure; strengthen export competitiveness pursuant to changes in the global trade environment; and promote new growth export industries and improve trade’s added value.
On this day’s general meeting, at which approximately 600 persons from KITA member companies were in attendance, Chairman Koo revealed in his opening address that “In order to overcome the export crisis, KITA will lower walls regulating corporate activity, strengthen channels of communication with exporting companies to provide for enterprise-friendly policies, and identify policy tasks.”
